WUMarin Hearing Center’s Dr. Becky Bingea, AuD, presented at the “Aural Rehabilitation and Auditory Training in the Private Practice” conference held at Washington University in St. Louis on May 4-5, 2015. The meeting, co-sponsored by Washington University School of Medicine and corporate sponsor Widex USA, was a working conference to develop strategies for commercially viable aural rehabilitation programs. Dr. Bingea presented on utilizing the LACE (Listening and Communication Enhancement) computerized, home-based auditory rehabilitation program and joined other speakers presenting on patient hearing rehabilitation needs and existing and emerging programs to address these needs. Audiology private practitioners from across the country attended the meeting and formulated plans for integrating aural rehabilitation and auditory training into their practices to enhance communication success for their patients.
