Andrew Valla, Au.D., FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

Audiologist, Dr. Andrew Valla has over 24 years of experience in audiology. He is well regarded in the San Francisco Bay area community, earning numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centered care. Born in Wisconsin, he is a graduate of University of Wisconsin, Steven’s Point with a B.S. in Communicative Disorders and an M.S. in Audiology. Dr. Valla obtained his Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University in Pennsylvania. He began his career at UCSF Medical Center, practicing audiology in San Francisco and Marin County ever since. Dr. Valla specializes in diagnostic audiology, with special interests in hearing instrument selection and fitting, and vertigo and balance disorders.

Dr. Valla’s passion is driven by the bonds he builds with his patients and the enjoyment he holds in keeping his patients communicating and hearing well. He is excited to be a partner at Marin Hearing Center where he can share his clinical expertise, commitment to excellence and compassion for people.

Dr. Valla is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the California Academy of Audiology. He resides in San Rafael CA with his wife and 14-year old son. Actively involved within his community, he is a licensed USA triathlon coach and competes in triathlons and marathons.

Kim Zeller Hoppin, Au.D., FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kim Hoppin believes that improving individuals’ hearing leads to significant enhancement of their communication abilities and their quality of life. Her extensive knowledge in audiology and related business and technology comes from experience in diverse settings, including UCSF Medical Center, private practice, research institutions, and hearing aid manufacturing companies. The field of audiology attracted Dr. Hoppin because of its intriguing mixture of art and science. She enjoys the creativity of listening to the needs of individuals with hearing difficulties and addressing them using the latest science and best technology available. Dr. Hoppin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, her Master’s degree in Audiology from Northwestern University, and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. She currently is serving as the 2020/2021 membership chair and Social Committee Lead for the California Academy of Audiology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two sons, as well as keeping healthy with power yoga workouts.

Elise Gregoire Audiologist

Elise M. Gregoire, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Elise Gregoire obtained a Doctor of Audiology degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. She is a licensed Audiologist who has over 12 years of experience practicing audiology across the US and New Zealand. She has worked in varied roles from a researcher for a major hearing aid manufacturer helping develop the latest technology to a clinical audiologist for private practices in the San Francisco Bay area and New Zealand.

Specializing in diagnosing and treating hearing loss, she has a keen interest in hearing devices and aural rehabilitation, particularly as it relates to auditory plasticity. Dr. Gregoire began her interest in audiology as a violinist and is infinitely fascinated by the anatomy and physiology of hearing and the science of sound. She believes treating hearing loss is a journey that looks different for every patient and she enjoys the process of discovering the best solution for each patient.

Lisa Monardi, Au.D., FAAA

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Lisa Monardi has been practicing Audiology for over 20 years. She has founded and led several leading audiology practices throughout California. Now at Marin Hearing Center, Dr. Monardi imparts her vision of an audiology program focused on excellence in patient care and outcomes. She understands that each person’s auditory system and listening situations are unique. Her focus is on strengthening hearing and developing proven programs to help ensure patients don’t miss out. From a memorable chat with a loved one to an important conversation with a colleague or even a funny joke, it’s all about hearing your best and enjoying the moment. She is honored to share her experience in audiology and support individuals with hearing loss and tinnitus.

A California native, Dr. Monardi first fell in love with helping the hearing impaired after volunteering at a School for the Deaf in Larache, Morocco. She completed her undergraduate work at California State University, Sacramento and went on to obtain her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University in Pennsylvania. A licensed Audiologist, Dr. Monardi is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and member of the California Academy of Audiology. She loves to spend time with her family and friends and is always up for traveling and visiting new places. She lives in San Rafael with her husband and their two children. 

Robin Casper

Practice Manager

Robin Casper joined Marin Hearing Center in February of 2016 as our Practice Manager.  She brings over nine years of audiology office management experience to our practice.  She believes in the importance of quality patient care and getting to know everyone who walks through our door.  Robin has a degree in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University and has always had a passion for helping people.  She was born and raised in the Bay Area and now lives in San Rafael with her husband and teenage daughter.  When she isn’t at work, Robin is spending quality time with her family and friends.  She loves going to the movies and tries to see a show as often as she can!  Robin also is part owner of a brewery in Richmond, California, where she attends events and has entered local, state, and national competitions.
